How To Harvest and Use Dandelion Roots

Dandelion Roots

Most people consider the dandelion a nuisance, but in fact this little flower is very nutritious and contains an abundance of vitamins and minerals, especially vitamins A, C and K, and they are also a good source of calcium, potassium, iron and manganese.

Dandelions are edible in their entirety and have many uses from making wine to even using their roots to make a caffeine-free dandelion coffee.

Dandelions also have medicinal properties that have been used to treat everything from arthritis to hangovers. So check out this excellent article below by Common Sense Homesteading to learn how to harvest and use dandelion roots.
